MDPS(Motor Driven Power Steering / EPS) NVH

To easily drive the car's steering wheel, many cars are equipped with a Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS) system. However, if there is an assembly defect or defective parts among the completed MDPS system, noise and vibration are generated during operation and the noise and vibration are transmitted directly to the driver through the steering wheel. Since these noise and vibration are directly related to the deterioration of automobile quality competitiveness, manufacturers are making every effort to reduce defects, and a defect judgment system that determines whether noise or vibration occurs by driving after assembly is essential.

The steering operation noise evaluation automation system is a product with the ability to measure and evaluate the operation and rattle noise through configuration of the vehicle dynamics tire reaction force model HILS (Hardware In the Loop Simulation) system. As this system uses a servo motor to evaluate various vehicle types, and automatic and manual evaluation is available that contribute to accurate reproduction of MDPS noise by the actual vehicle.With this optimized evaluation system, such accurate diagnosis of the root causes of abnormal noise, possible, reduction the labor force on analyze, efficient parts design improvement is possible.
